What is Stickies.NET?

Stickies.NET originated as a project by Firedancer. It is a simple, light-weighted yet useful application whereby its allow the user to make quick notes and tasks by creating little notes onto the desktop. In addition to notes taking, user will be able to send the stickies notes to other users on the network, protect the stickies against authorised access, create reminders, set priorities for tasks, customizing the themes and many more

The current versionStickies.NET can be downloaded @ http://serena-yeoh.malaysiandevelopers.net/

What are we looking at here then?

Following the discussion with zhongqiang, Firedancer and kitkai
http://community.sgdotnet.org/forums/16711/ShowPost.aspx

We found that we can bring Stickies.NET to greater heights by extending its functionalities such as Ink support, Drag and drop functionality, improved UI, and integration with outlook's tasks. The objectives is to write an easy to use, efficient and yet powerful version of Stickies.NET by harnessing the strength of .NET 2.0 framework and VS2005. We will not be extending the current version, so we will be building the project from scratch using the new framework.

In new version, named Stickies.NET 2005, users can immediately managed day-to-day tasks quickly, efficiently, and in the way they want it with little to no learning curve,

I will be posting up a Features Specifications for the new Version. For anyone who are interested in working with us to bring Stickies.NET to the next higher level, do contact me at   shinchi [at] starhub [dot] net [dot] sg  or simply post it right here! Smile [:)]

Cheers

I know what you're trying to do. What I asked for is a brief summary to explain to others just what Stickies.NET is about and will do for them. This can then be put into the forum Description.

hmm.... can I join in the development??
need any kind of interview?? :-P

but I think there should be a boundary to be defined of what it should or should not include and provide some kind of add-in interface standard, or else it will gradually become more and more heavy weighted as more funtionalities are built in.

Shunjie, we need to kick start this project soon... Let's do with the amount of people you have now and start designing the architecture.

Firedancer, is it possible to pass the list of feature request you got from your stickes to shunjie?

Best Regards, Kit Kai, MVP (SharePoint Portal Server)
