Publicising Topic of the Month

I think the Topic of the Month is a fantastic idea. However to make sure that the preparation of your topic gets the best mileage, you need to broadcast it through presentations via
1) SgDotNet Usergroup meeting
2) MSDN Connection Meeting

Then, that valuable research and practical experience gets out to the ppl. Then you may want to use the forum/website as a reference point after your presentations.

That is my honest opinion. I have recently been talking to and chatting with Usergroup leads all over the world and information on the forum is NOT something they are yearning anymore. Detailed Information is everywhere you look. What is needed is someone who can demonstrate that practical experience, dos and donts and articulate that topic out to the audience to get them all excited and talking.

I am still looking for speakers in the Nov MSDN Connection meeting. Do let me know if you are interested.

pretty good idea. I will be able to present on the build server topic as we would have got our article out by nov.

so count me in for that.

I thoroughly agree about giving a final presentation once the material has been consolidated. That will be useful to the general public at large.

However, I would still think that a genuine newsletter of sgdotnet with solid consolidated info is still something which people will turn to. So I hope the article that will be created will be useful to some.

Topic of the month is very good an idea !!! so that we can turn all sands scattered through the forums into golds, after careful collective washing. Ok here comes now the age of golde rush

softwaremaker, instead of sourcing who can present what, maybe let us know what material you would like to be presented...actually i would like to volunteeer, i have several things in mind (as i have mentioned in another thread) but i do not know if they are suitable or if i am up to the par in giving a good presentation...
