    TechMilk For Website

    Ok. I've decided to spawn a new thread here instead.

    Currently TechMilk receives RSS Feeds from this forums and converts it to that.

    Plans to upgrade TechMilk

    -> Sort the dates (currently not sorted)
    -> Latest TechMilk (current set to Events & Annoucements)
    -> Caching (haven't done it yet)
    -> Cleaning up codes for TechMilk Library

    Anything else please post here.

    Hee hee, i know u like challenges right?
    Personalisation. Default is to have the latest 10 techmilk across the whole forum, but registered member can chose which one they want shown, and how many latest they want to see.
    Let's aim to have as much people have www.sgdotnet.org as they homepage volunteerly

    triplez, try to have the formatting controlled by css instead.

    <div id="TechMilkControl__ctl1_TitleDiv" style="CURSOR: pointer" onClick="clickallTechMilkControl__ctl1_TitleDiv()">

    you could change it to

    <div id="TechMilkControl__ctl1_TitleDiv" Class="TechMilkTitle" onClick="clickallTechMilkControl__ctl1_TitleDiv()">

    then the cursor attribute is defined in the css... same goes for the rest..

    Re: TechMilk For Website

    If we make the TechMilk repeater's title a hyperlink to the forum, can we improve the navigatability options for visitors?

    <td class="TechMilkTitleCentre SiteFont BlueText"><br />
         <table class="FatTable">
          <tr>
           <td align="left" class="SiteFont TechMilkSectionCell">
    <!-- <asp:HyperLink here -->
            <span id="TechMilkControl_TechMilkSection">C#</span>
            <span id="TechMilkControl_TechMilkText">TechMilk</span>
           </td>
          </tr>
         </table>
        </td>

    Meaning? Currently they are linked to the techmilk display itself.

    The title for the TechMilk repeater itself - it's not hyperlinked. If it is linked back to the forum view in the Forums site itself, it gives a visitor an alternative navigation option.

    Re: TechMilk For Website

    You mean the title of the techmilk component, right? e.g. Events & Announcements Techmilk, C++.Net Techmilk, etc etc.

    I'll add the link to the particular forum.

    I realise the "Add/View" and "Read More" links are the same thing.

    Yes... I've yet to add the functionalities for Add/View (which will only be "Add Comments" later on)

    Exactly. I'm converting the techmilk user control into a custom control, so it'll be much easier for me to work with.

    Border expanded view

    One request: i believe rendering a border around an expanded TechMilk blog would make it easier for the eyes to recognise the boundaries.

    Right now I sometimes get confused what is a blog title and what is the blog entry when it grows long.

    Hmm... what kind of border? Maybe an indented border?
