Hi,
I am thinking of learning SharePoint admin and development and get myself certified. However knowing that SharePoint is using .NET 2.0 and above and C# (thats some people said) is it advisable for me to take up/learn .NET 2.0 first or it doesn't matter
I am just a .NET beginner...
why not learn them both? you don't have to study everything in .NET/C#...just what you will need to use while you do your Sharepoint thing.

I intend to learn both but I need to prioritise which to learn 1st (got limited $$$)
learn Sharepoint with your $$$, then learn bits of .NET and C# online by yourself. then if you still want to, you can go spend your next round of $$$ on .NET learning/certs too.
ah~~~ thanks for the advise! Think I have to pickup C# one day... I am more of a VB.NET person
sliding into C# should be an easy task for you. most VB.NET and C# programs are translateable line-per-line
My advice is, learn .net first, then SharePoint. It will be overwhelming to dive into SharePoint without good foundation in .Net.

hmm... thats what I think initially. I am only certified in .NET 1.1
