Our long awaited LongHorn is now publicly known as Windows Server 2008.

Media is FREE but shipping is NOT.

Standard Postal Mail (2-4 weeks delivery) will cost you SGD 15.75 (incl. 5% GST).

International Courier (1-3 weeks delivery) will cost you SGD 28.35 (incl. 5% GST).

ahaha, coincidentally i recently downloaded the Longhorn beta 3 from MSDN Subscriptions. didn't know it was available for public access. I am currently installing it onto a virtual machine as i type this.

Interesting to note Win2008 has a "back to basics" mode that totally removes the GUI and runs on DOS command prompt mode. I don't know whether to call that neat or not.... :-)
