Now that I am off the full-time support team for the project, and having resolved the show-stopper errors with the upgrade experiment, and with Telligent just a few more points to level up, I feel we should start planning a tentative schedule so we may quickly "react" the moment the official source is made available.

The database schema updates are fairly problem free (save for the above example), so I have that pinned down. What I see as major areas of concern would be the supplementary pages we want to make available for our site. As mentioned before, we should just use the Community Server main page as the base and build from there. So finally we can do something about our "missing main site and pages".

For those who already know about my test site, and are really eager to see CS 2.0 in action, please continue to run through my site and spot out any problems. Thanks.

So you'd rather have the stock CS page info?

Will the upgrade include the new Home page for SGDN as well or is it just a CS migration?

It is mainly for upgrading the Community Server engine. But I do want to fix up with a "static temporary" main page as well.

If there are any desired "placeholder content", please pass to me so I can try it out with the current test site.

The release as of now does not include source code. I believe we will need that to effectively modify our Eventing module to suit. I have unfortunately been air-dropped into yet another hectic project so I am really chained at the feet. But will have to sit down with Kit Kai one day to size this one up.

I have upgraded my private test server to the RTM build. At you-know-which-url. Please visit it and check out its features. I *think* everybody should be able to access my server now; after the last round of successful Windows Update, I seem to be able to connect to its HTTP web service from the outside. (so i probably don't have to reformat my server)

Database schema update x2....done.

New web site listening to www.sgdotnet.org, sgdotnet.org, community.sgdotnet.org, forums.sgdotnet.org.... done.

Link Competitions virtual directory.... done.

Link Events virtual directory.... as expected, there is application/database error.

Copy Photos content.... done.

Copy Blogs content.... done.

Now I can go eat dinner.

This is only the pure binary deployment. If needs be, the source code (SDK) can be found at
C:\Projects\Backups\CS_2.0.60217.2664_SDK.zip

That is the default theme for CS 2.0 RTM. One can goto the user preferences (click on your own username on top), and set to the older themes when CS 2.0 was in beta development.
