Origin: eXtreme .NET: Introducing eXtreme Programming Techniques to .NET Developers, chapter 2

Looking for partner to try out pair programming exercise outlined in chapter. Must be blonde female, hair length beyond shoulders familiar with C# and WinForms - this is a screen saver we're writing.

I had a chance to practice pair programming during one of my school project, and luckily, the guy paired with me happen to be my roomate, hence it's much more easier to do that.

If we're too far away, how do you want to practice that? Online chatting Hmm [^o)]

The whole of a practical is to get together. Can meet anywhere that offers power points (for laptops).

Great, let me know of your schedule. However, I am tightened up now there is active work to be done on a month-long project.

If there are more people interersted, best to be another pair. Odd numbers may be accommodated, but probably won't be as effective.

What will be the agenda? how long will the session last? will it have an objective that will be taken up by the pairs to complete?

Yes the chapter itself is the programming exercise plan; a pair will sit in front of a PC and code away according to its instructions. It should take 2-3 hours.

For now, I only intend to follow the steps verbatim to get a feel of it and understanding the effect of the exercise. Anything to add/subtract from the original "course materials" can be discussed later, possibly another practical session. This will give us time to reflect the experienced gain and come up with our own exercise material which can then be made available publicly for others to try out Pair Programming and observe the results for themselves.

I probably have to photocopy this chapter 2 as we can't possibly have everybody sharing the single copy I have. Unless somebody else had already bought the same book.

Ok here's the plan: I have a deliverable to meet this Friday (3 June). If it turns out fine, my client will then take it to the end-client for testing. Then, I should be "free" to carry out practicals for the weekend. Wink [;)]

However, should things turn out not as planned, then I have to use of the weekend to resolve whatever issues. Which case this extra-curricular activity has to be postponed to Tuesday (7 June).

Sorry, to provide a safety net for my own self I'd propose next week Saturday instead (11 June).

Sorry i only mentioned this to a few: i won't be free to do this at this stage, unless you wish to do pair programming in WMI with me. I have fallen behind schedule because of unexpected severe differences between the old WMI API and the new System.Management .NET namespace.
