If you have the permission to do so, you will get the sticky DropDownList to specify how long you want it to remain sticky/pinned.
Announcement types are pinned forever, and don't allow replies. I previously had to add a new "Forever" type to allow replies.
However, a bug (or should i say, lack of feature) does not unpin threads that have expired. It appears CS 1.0 still does not include that function.
