    TechMilk Suggestions and Brainstorming

How can we make techmilk more usable, so that more people would post on it? Should it have a space in the website to submit new techmilks?

Currently within the forums, it's not generating much interest. any suggestions?

People regularly do not pay attention to the little link references of the sub-forums. Furthermore, latest posts reflect only the parent forum.

I suggest planting all TechMilk forums into their own Forum Group to greatly increase visibility. But that generates a longer list for the main page.

How do you plan to handle discussions over a TechMilk post then?

Add: btw, you may wish to add a page explaining what exactly does TechMilk mean - newbies most likely will not understand the significance.

    Re: TechMilk Suggestions and Brainstorming

I have been thinking, and still it seems better to merge TechMilk forums into their respective parent topic forum. Why so
    1. The web site will have difficulty using existing Forums code base to post since hostnames mismatch, thus the ForumContext issue. Hackable, but we need to know where the main entry point for people is: web site or forums?
    2. If we wish to move away from the techsupport image, then the main forums should largely compose of topical discussions instead of direct problem pleas. By deliberately fitting such content into TechMilk, we are encouraging the main forums to remain as helpdesk zones.
So members should be allowed to post external links directly into the forums, rather than segregating into obscure sub-forums.
