Which part do you mean? The part where the memory usage shoots up?

I don't have any plugs in at all. Yup, my other team members experienced the same thing too. Only one member. Her desktop is Windows Server 2003 thou. (Dont' ask me why she's using that).

Currently, I'm trying to do a simple proof-of-concept application, just to test out some stuff. I have 1 web application which has only 1 aspx file, and its empty! My class library doesn't even have any files. My devenv.exe is now using 228MB!

My windows 2003 with vs 2008 loading a sharepoint project takes up 48mb of ram

Only one member who uses Windows 2003, does or does not experience the same problem?

Some people use Windows 2003 because it is more stable and it sports IIS 6 to boot. Any web developer who has done enough server deployments would not like to use the IIS 5 model.

You still haven't confirmed if all your team mates are using the same hardware specs or brand or model. Sometimes there are just weird behaviour for a particular hardware model with a particular combo of software (like mine).
