Word 2007: printing potrait pages end up as landscape

Despite seeing the page orientation as potrait, I have a certain section in a Word document that prints out in landscape. Is there some hidden trick to this?

Did you specify the page or section as a different section / page with its own settings? It is possible to have a word document to have different sections / pages that prints in different mode.

Ah, but where can i find such a custom setting? From what i see of the page layouts, all of them are potrait.

When you do a print preview or select a print layout view, does your word document shows all pages to be portrait?

Found the problem. This inherited document template, somehow had a custom paper size (looks like A4 but it is not) for a section. The page setup's Margin Orientation is set to landscape. This setting is independent of the Page Setup ribbon, print layout view, and print preview.
