Singapore or US-based .NET web hosting?

All the web apps which I build for my clients use ASP.NET and MSSQL databases.

Has anyone tried using any US-based web hosting companies? Some of them charge much less than my Singapore one (USONYX), but the connection seems to be slower (all of my clients and their customers are based in Singapore). I’m wondering if US-based web hosting is worth it.

COuld anyone share their personal experiences?

Grateful for any advice you can offer on this. Thanks!

Some people/businesses prefer cheaper hosting to speedier response. Some the other way round. Why not give your customers the option of choosing for themselves?

you can also do a tracert and/or ping to find out the latency (and the number of network hops) between a typical Singapore user and the web hosting service. that'll help you decide which is better for your customers.

Another issue to consider is perhaps the support when you need it? Since some areas in US, the timezone is different, it is hard to get real time support when hosting is down.

I personally recommend "8 to Infinity Pte Ltd" because I had very good experiences with them. They provide very good customer support.
