that is slowly changing, with Firefox entering the consciousness of banks and their developers, probably because of its growing marketshare. but using banking sites on Opera or Safari is still hit-and-miss, YMMV.

re: Windows Live Free 5gb Storage Space

unfortunately at the moment, I've heard nothing about an SDK for skydrive yet. =(

kidding aside, it's not the UI flashiness that sets an app apart. for me it's more of the UI's usability. case in point: i find many stuff in Vista that requires more clicks/more UI guessing than a similar feature in XP SP2. so to me XP SP2 is more usable than Vista, even though Vista's UI is "prettier."

re: A great UX Story

I would only buy the one with good UX IF i'm in the mood to explore. In the second pic, I would buy the *conventional* bottle. Why ? Because we have all been trained to recognize the *conventional* bottle as norm.
But as an organization, SAP certainly should think about UX. Duet costs money and certainly would not appeal to Lotus users (who are also complaining big about the crap notes UI).

To encourage more people to adopt SAP, SAP should certainly look at bringing down TCO. Introducing stuff like DUET is good for the vendors, but certainly increasing the TCO per cal for SAP customers.
