Layout Engines used in Web Browsers
Web Browser has been a tool that many of us are familiar with. Be it, market leading "Microsoft Internet Explorer", Mozilla Firefox, Apple's Safari, Opera or
the likes, it's something that we depend alot on. and use daily in today's world of the exploding web.
However, how many of us actually knows what goes behind this great applications?
We all know that web-browsers were (and still is) designed for some basic functions (I'm just super simplifying it)
- Converting the URL (e.g. http://yahoo.com/) to it's IP Address (e.g. http://66.94.234.13/) with the help of a DNS Server
- Downloading the HTML Content together with other contents such as flash/movies/applications/css and etc
- Presenting it to the user in the User Interface of the Browser

However, how many of us actually knows the layout engines behind these browsers that are used to present the data? Why might some of your HTML look different on a Mozilla Browser compared to Internet Explorer?
