Hi, thanks for trying it out. I am working on small bits of it here and there. Hope to churn out a new stable version real soon.

I guess for the dragging, I will let the users decide and have an option to let them choose as I think many like you, prefered a more straight forward dragging.

Man, not only this kind of RIA is a great idea, but it's looking great too. Congratulations and keep it up, I can't wait to see the final result. It'd be a great example on how Flash platform can work well as a tool.

If I can suggest only one feature, though, I'd like to suggest the ability to drag the icons/folders with rigid body physics. As it is now, moving the icons is not very intuitive because of the lack of immediate feedback from the computer to the user when a drag is started. Using rigid body dragging would solve this by working as an immediate dragging, and also still keeping the concept of movable "physical" interface elements you seem to be following.

An old (as1) example of rigid body dragging (to better explain what I mean) can be found here:

There's probably some better code covering this feature somewhere by now.

Currently, that is still not possible due to the API of box.net, which only allows for the entire file to be downloaded. Hopefully in time to come, box.net can release more functionalities of their API to make that possible. ;)

just some thoughts, wonder if it is possible to have small thumbnails of the image files instead? so when the user sees, it's not a generic image. they can view the thumbnail first before deciding whether to open it or not. :)

Well, its just a random name that I think of. If you look into the word "Icicle" long enough, you will see round corners and drop shadow. Its soul has 2.0. Be careful. ;)
