Synopsis
What's New With Microsoft Application Server Platform by Vittorio Bertocci
Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation have already changed the way we develop applications. Today these foundational components can be used to build applications for Windows Server 2003. In this session you will get a sneak peek at the future of Microsoft's Application Server - Windows Server "Longhorn", the next version of these foundational components, and Visual Studio "Orcas".
About the Speaker
Vittorio Bertocci received his master's degree in Computer Science from the Universita' di Genova, Italy in 1999. He worked in the fields of computational geometry, scientific visualization, usability, business data, and industrial applications, publishing both for the international academic scene and for the industry world. Vittorio joined Microsoft Italy in 2001and in October 2005 he moved to Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, USA, as Architect Evangelist in the Windows Server team. He works with governments and major G100 enterprises worldwide, facilitating the early adoption of technologies such as Identity and Access Management, Windows CardSpace, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation.
