Synopsis
Introduction to BlackPearl by Nuqman Baktiar, Regional Solutions Specialist, SourceCode Singapore
K2.net®2007 (code named BlackPearl) is the next generation product based on the award winning K2.net®2003 enterprise workflow solution. Building on the success of K2.net® 2003, SourceCode's next release will add a host of new features focused on empowering business users to actively drive change and effectively manage business processes and rules.
K2.net® BlackPearl will offer new design canvasses aimed at high-end business modelling, a business-focused rich graphical process modelling environment and support for discovery and real-time process improvement. It will also feature run-time abilities to implement dynamic and ad hoc process changes, provide advanced process reporting based on SQL Server 2005, rich support for Office 12 (the code name for the next version of Microsoft Office), extending the new Windows Vista desktop, and more. Based on feedback from an extensive global customer base, K2.net® BlackPearl plans to introduce more than 200 new workflow features and has been heralded as the leader of advanced workflow and enhanced business process management (BPM) solutions.
The presentation would include a scenario-based demo that will showcase BlackPearl in action, integrating with MOSS 2007 and Microsoft InfoPath 2007. The demonstration would also illustrate BlackPearl’s ability to work with InfoPath’s thick client as well as browser-enabled InfoPath forms rendered via Forms Service 2007.
