Change 2 Bytes and Windows XP Home becomes XP Professional

Interesting piece of news...I wonder if any of our German members have a copy of German Computer magazine C'T (Heise).

Excellent photos from colleagues

These are some photos taken by my colleague for year 2004. Personally very impressed with the superb shots for what seems so ordinary and mundane in our day-to-day environment and surroundings..

SDA.NET Conference

SDA.NET Conference is over. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the organisers S&S Media for kindly sponsoring us a booth, several VIP tickets and some complimentary gifts.

The conference allowed me to get in touch with the gurus like Ingo Rammer, Clemens Vaster and of course, our very own William Tay.

It's our first time setting up a booth in a event, I must say we did learn several useful lessons from 2 days at Suntec.

I would like to also thank Darren and Jieke for helping out in the marketing brochure; Aaron and Kitkai for kindly taking time off their busy schedule to help man the booth

Good news and bad news

Good news - My long awaits SengKang flat is finally ready for keys collection. Oh yes, my blood pressure is back to normal 130-80..

Bad news - I'm down with sore throat and flu. And infected ear.

More photos

Recently, I've been trying to take more "life" shots instead of just toying around with still life. It's certainly not easy to take such shots, so for those of your who're avid photographers, feel free to offer your comments...

Article on William Tay

Did anyone check out the latest MSDN Connection magazine? Talk about writing articles, code samples etc, how's it when one is the topic being written about. Congrats to William!

SGDN 1st yr old BBQ

Our 1st year old BBQ party is over. Very grateful to those who attended especially to our lovely guests from NetAssist who provided the beer, Howard for taking time off (his TV :P) and all those members who've attended.

We definitely had a good time and great food -- Thanks for Shunjie's recommendation (www.bbqwholesale.com). Despite the gloomy weather, we still managed to presss ahead and the weather only started to pour while we were "bitching" our technology after the BBQ.

Back in action

I'm back in action. After not touching technology for past 2 days (MC), I'm dying to play with lots of stuff which are left half-turned or undone properly..Hmm...Time to dig back into interop using MOMs...

Still crossing fingers about my hypter-tension though.

High Blood???

I went to see a doctor cos I was having a nagging headache for past few days...And to my surprise, my doctor diagnosed that I have high blood pressure (too much work???!)....155-90. Got a real shock and my eyes nearly popped when the doctor mentioned that. He gave me some tabs and arranged a review date (21 May) after the medication is complete.

Cross fingers....

Next Challenge: 70-300

My next challenge is 70-300, trying to find out more about the format of the exam. Seems like a tough nut to crack, according to some friends who've took the test. My last hurdle before I get my first sip of "victory". Yeah, unlike the 9 year old Pakistan girl who attained MCP, I've only got mine at age 26...

Got a e-guide on 70-300, seems like lots of stuff to cover. Feels like going back to those OOAD lessons back in university again. Well, better study harder....

70-316 - Passed marginly

Phew, another tinny step towards getting my MCSD (yes, I'm not SD-ed yet). Just managed to clear my 70-316 on Saturday, another paper 70-300 to get my SD....
