For those who are considering getting HTC branded mobile phones...

According to this entry, after I upgrade my TytnII to Windows Mobile 6.1, I should be getting more than just threaded message conversation. But I'm not getting any of the fanciful home page features. A site has been going on to hit HTC on the video drivers issue, but HTC doesn't seem to bother... My keyboard is getting more and more unresponsive. Picking up calls is slow... Wrote to HTC, and I get no response after waiting more than a month...

From now on, I will probably active avoid HTC if I can...

I have the same model phone, and can vouch that you get threaded txt messages which is pretty handy. Apart from that I haven't really noticed any other features to speak of that I can recall. I agree that the keyboard isn't that great and I often look back at what I have written and it has a bunch of letters missing. I have had a few of these phones and all the keyboards are the same - do companies not do QA any more?! My previous HTC phone had a much better keyboard. Let's hope this is addressed in the next model (HTC touch Pro) - along with battery life and faster processor (or whatever is needed to make it run more "instantiously").

The reason I have stuck with it is it _seems_ to be the best of the bunch as I run Small Business Server 2003 and integration with Exchange is pretty good. The GPS for Google Maps and data connectivity seem to be leading th field.

What are the "fanciful home page features"?

Out of interest, I came across this blog because I have installed Egress on my phone and noticed your blog on my today screen. (Egress scolls through your favourite blogs [yours is consumed within www.sharepointblogs.com] and displays them on the today screen which makes for good reading while on the train).
