Are you interested to host for all communities within techNation?
For your information, I am the person in charge to consolidate all proposals from hosting providers who are interested to host communities websites and techNation (http://www.technation.com.my) for January 2008 onwards. We are looking for a new hosting provider.
At this moment, MIND, SPAN and Elite are part of this body techNation. KING from east Malaysia will join us soon. Take note, only communities in Malaysia :)
We will finalize a decision by May 2007. If you are interested, take a look on the details as below. Take note, I will only conslidate the proposals, but at the end of the day it will be up to the techNation Board of Directors and Microsoft Malaysia to decide who to go with :)
a) History of the hosting provider
b) Customers / Partners that use the provider's hosting service
c) Testimonials from the Customers (especially the support and customer satisfaction)
d) Location of the hosting (TPM, Cyberjaya,etc) *State which country so I can know where?
e) Reliability of the servers, down time. It is better to have statistics on this
f) Hardware, backup
g) Software - needs to be Windows Server 2003 (minimum), ASP.NET 2.0, IIS 6 and above, SQL Server 2005 Server Edition, support for CommunityServer 2.1 and above
** Take note, MIND owned a Professional Gold license for CommunityServer, so you do not have to worry about this. You just have to deploy the software and migrate our existing database from the current host to your host.
h) Internet Connection - which provider? leased line, streamyx, etc
i) any additional information which can help us justify better :)
**Data Privacy is very important here
Take note, we are opening up opportunities to not only Malaysia companies but also overseas like Singapore, United States, etc. We need the most reliable hosting & services, data privacy, of course more flexibility, etc.
