From Heat to Collateral
Have you watched Michael Mann's Collateral ? It is the story of a breathing city, being the continuity from the Heat . City is such a crowded place yet full of loneliness. Everyone walks passing by each other silently, carrying their own unspeakable...

The last (samurai) and the best
"Very predictable" is not a compliment to the Last Samurai . The spirit of the samurai still sparks brilliantly in the films from Akira Kurosawa, who probably directed the best Samurai films. Rashomon (1950) - The "truth" in the wood...

La Notte
"Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau are affluent but emotionally estranged spouses in Michelangelo Antonioni's 1961 post-neorealist classic La Notte. After ten years of marriage, Giovanni, a successful novelist, and his wife Lidia have grown...
