Recently I finally have some time to study the family of contents surrouding Guidance Automation and Software Factories - I would say there are really very neat stuff from the patterns and practices team, for the efforts to templatize the proven workflow/methodolgies/actions in various typical application development scenarios.
Any team that now starts on reasonbly sized project should take a look for such asset as a starting point. It pays forward to get the tools and environment and template sorted out first before commiting large volumn of work. 磨刀不误砍柴功 or 工欲善其事,必先利其器!
